I've been working out to Kimberly's Yoga For Athletes DVD for at least 7 years and it's still the best I've found. I've purchased 10+ yoga videos trying to find a different one to switch over to since I've been doing it so long but nothing keeps my body lean quite like this DVD. Love Kimberly!

I love my vision board. I have heard so many people tell me that everything on their boards came to pass. So I'm excited to see what will happen with mine. So far 3 things have come to pass!!

I would love to speak with Carol. I have just turned 40, but I am trying to get to where she is, and I could use some guidance and direction along the path. I want to write, and get published. I have a background that includes many different fields and careers, and even just discussing that aspect of the female career path would be an interesting conversation. I agree with her philosophy and with the previous comment - age can be UN-limiting.

I love Carol's top 4 tips. Some people think when they get to 50 and older, they no longer have to dream or plan anymore and just leave that to the younger generations. For myself, 50 has freed me to dream for myself for a change, and plan for the future my husband and I are going to have as empty nesters. I have been purging things I don't like to do for the last year now and I'm here to say...it feels good! I'm looking forward to the magazine. Thanks for sharing!

CAROL, I JUST CELEBRATED MY80TH BIRTHDAY AND I STILL FEEL FULL OF LIFE AND I STILL WORK. i am so happy at this point in life. I have 5 children that love me and tell me so frequently. I have a job that is challenging at times but fulfilling. I love my boss and the girls in the office, especially Jodi. I believe that you can do anything you set your mind to. I was 40 and had the 5 children and went back to school to be a computer programmer. Women over 40 or whatever age can stay stimulated and interested in life if they challenge them selves and most of all, Love the Lord and ask for His guidance and what plans he has for you and you will never be disappointed. You will have an exciting and full of fun life. Love you Carol and may God bless your work. PS.I just dyed my very white hair auburn and thanks to my children I am going on a Mediterenian Cruise, a
mission trip to FIGI and to the YUCATAN, also a mission trip to tell those that want to know about what Jesus has done for me in my life. Yeah GOD.

It's so true Brandy... and I think that perseverance to making time for family doings in between work demands will definitely pay off! Though sometimes life can get a little fast paced, we mom-preneurs are terrific time management pros!

I still have to read this book! I love Danielle Smith and slightly familiar with Aliza! Great way to start the New Year! I agree - every day is a juggle and some days are not as great as others but we just plug along!

As a young person whose only direct experience of the hospital has been an isolated visit here and there, I found it nothing short of shocking to unearth the dirty facts about hospitals and their infection rates. Many people assume when they enter a hospital that the worst part is over - that they have made it into a safe, sterile healing-vacuum where they will be cured by the deft hand of Dr. House or someone like him. As the evidence shows, this is simply not the case.

While I don't wish to deride the noble work being done by our real-life caregivers, the reality is that it's just too temping as patients to let a white coat intimidate us into deferential silence. Sky-high infection rates are demonstrating that it is not enough to surrender our medical fates to those who hold our charts and take our temperatures. Patients have to take responsibility for their care, educate themselves, ask questions, and (respectfully) demand to be included in the healing process. Good health care is a collaboration. Pat's innovative approach is providing patients with the tools they need to participate meaningfully with their caregivers. Pretty much, SHE is cool.

Absolutely, David. It's not about eliminating every ounce of professionalism, but rather toning it down a bit. It's a social conversation, like you would have at a cocktail party, not a board meeting. Glad you see the distinction too :)

We recently had a prospective client hospital share with us that their #1 problem with low patient satisfaction was the loss of patient's personal items (eye glasses, dentures, books, etc.) during their hospital stay. We think the Patient Pod could be a solution. So, it's not just a patient safety tool but also a patient satisfaction solution. Finally, we think staff will appreciate not getting called to a patient's room for non-essential hunting and fetching tasks for personal items so they can spend more time providing essential patient care. Kudos Pat and team!
